MELANIE CARLIN
Illustration + Animation
Born and raised in Adelaide, I am a quiet young woman with bold and colourful pieces of work. I always strive to produce my best work for any project I am working on and devote a lot of my time to my passion for illustration. I express my emotions and vivid imagination through my work and pride myself on my creativity, which comes in handy when creating a fringe poster or bright and vibrant Mural.
My strengths lie in traditional medias and simple digital cartoon characters/ designs. Particularly for websites, editorials, 2D character design, and children’s/young teenager’s book characters. I also focus on posters, flyers, postcards, book covers and more creative pieces of work for magazines and different forms of print.
I returned to university this year to focus my digital skills in animation. Creating 2D animated shorts, frame by frame, are a strong skill for me currently, but I am experimenting with 3D animation and design to further develop my skills in the animation field.

Poster Design Medium: Digital Drawing An entry into the 2019 Adelaide Fringe poster competition. The entry is fun and different and expresses the creativity of the fringe through its bold use of colour and odd object selection.
